The Day-Night Cycle is an important feature in the game Moonlighter. Using the bed or entering and exiting a dungeon (in any way — including pressing "Play again" if you die!) will advance to the next day (if it is night) or night (if it is day). Completing a day with the shop open will advance to night, so you should complete other daytime business first.
A single day on the in-game calendar is a day followed by a night, which affects quest due dates and the Banker.
During the day:
- Will can open The Moonlighter (his store) to sell items and accept/complete quests.
- Le Retailer, Banker, and Hawker are open.
At night:
- Dungeons are more difficult, but some items are only available at night.
- Mystery quests and items also appear more frequently if you open your shop at night.
- Will can speak with Zenon at the campfire.
Both:
- The Forge and Wooden Hat are open.
