The Golem King

Golem King is one of the bosses in the game Moonlighter. He can be found in the Golem Dungeon after exploring the third level of the dungeon.

Strategy

The Golem King is a fairly straight-forward fight. He has three main avenues of attack:

• His stone hand makes attacks from high up, so keep an eye out for the shadows that will telegraph where these attacks will land.
• His Jelly hand makes sweeping attacks across the field. This can be difficult to avoid, but can either be tanked or avoided with a well-timed dodgeroll.
• Periodically, the Golem King emits a blue nova from around his base, preventing the player from keeping up a constant close-range attack.

It is recommended to have crafted some armor (for additional HP), upgraded your weapon, and crafted a supply of potions before entering this fight.

Rewards

Upon defeat, the boss itself will drop three ‘Golem King Energy Crystals’. In addition, a large chest behind the Golem King will unlock. It contains a collection of high-value Golem culture items. Once the boss is beaten, the player will receive a key to the fifth door and trigger the related cut scene. The boss can only be defeated once.
